BABYLON, NY — Babylon Junior-Senior High School senior Katie Bellone has been selected as the student ex officio member of the Babylon Board of Education for the 2025–2026 school year, district officials said.

The role serves as an important bridge between students and the district’s governing board. While the position is non-voting, the student representative contributes directly to discussions about programs, policies, and issues that shape students’ day-to-day experiences.

“I am honored to have been chosen as the student representative on the school board,” Bellone said. “It is important to represent the student body and allow us to have a voice on matters that impact us. I am excited to continue my role throughout the year.”
