LI Motorized Scooter Operator Struck By Car, Seriously Injured: Cops
The man was seriously injured after he was struck by a car, police say.

BABYLON, NY — The operator of a motorized scooter is seriously injured, after he was struck by a car in West Babylon on Thursday, Suffolk County police said.
The 39-year-old, of West Babylon, was operating a Go Ped motorized scooter at about 9 a.m. northbound on Little East Neck Road.
The driver of 2010 Nissan Altima then attempted to turn left on Little East Neck Road from Litchfield Road, and the vehicle struck the man, police said.

He was taken by Babylon Rescue to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip for treatment of serious injuries, police said. The 25-year-old driver of the Nissan, was not injured.
The vehicles were impounded for safety checks. Anyone with information on the crash is asked to call First Squad detectives at 631-854-8152.
