Boutique Beauty Salon Celebrates Expansion On Long Island
A first-generation Chinese immigrant, mother of 4 and wife of an NYC firefighter is expanding her Long Island boutique beauty salon.
BABYLON, NY — A boutique beauty salon focused on lashes and brows on Long Island is expanding its offerings and doubling its floor space.
Babylon Village's Little Lash Boutique will celebrate its grand reopening on April 12 after it completes its expansion into an empty retail space adjacent to the current salon, LLB's owner, Joann Daly, told Patch.
Daly opened the salon in 2013. It was Long Island's first lash and brow-centered boutique salon, she said. Over a decade later, LLB is flourishing and "taking over" an old frame shop next door in a move that will double its space, enabling Daly to offer more services, too.

"This expansion will preserve the intimate, small-business atmosphere that clients have come to cherish," Daly said. "With this growth, the boutique can now offer a broader range of services."
Daly said new services include the "Hollywood favorite" Geneo X Glo2Facial for both face and body treatments, an acne Bootcamp for teenagers and adults, full-body waxing, organic spray tanning and luxury body piercings. The boutique is launching the new All Pro Brows, a brow education program.

For Daly, who raised four boys as the wife of a New York City fireman, the boutique's expansion is about more than just business.
"People often dismissed it as a fad and a cute little business," she said.
But Joann, a first-generation Chinese immigrant and self-proclaimed believer in the motto, "slow and steady wins the race," kept going and "defied all odds," she said.
Daly attributes her success not only to quality service, continuous education and great results, but supporting women and their self confidence.
"When you look your best, it boosts your mood. Therefore, it enhances your well-being," Daly said. The boutique's mission is to celebrate and elevate natural beauty in all its forms."
