A demolition crew has been hard at work over the last week demolishing a portion of the Great South Bay Shopping in West Babylon.
The strip of storefronts facing Montauk Highway are being slowly pulled down to make way for two new spaces. One of the new spaces is expected to house a Red Robin restaurant.
The former strip of stores held GNC, Weight Watchers, a Verizon Wireless retailer and a salon at one time. The first two stores moved across the shopping center last summer.
