Driver Suffers Medical Emergency, Plows Through Babylon Home: Report

BABYLON VILLAGE, NY — A driver who experienced a medical emergency plowed straight through the garage of a Babylon Village home on Friday, News12 reported.

Doorbell video showed the car driving past a stop sign and through the garage of a Park Avenue home and hitting a parked vehicle.

Police believe the driver suffered a medical emergency. The driver was able to walk but was taken to the hospital. Luckily, no one was injured, officials said.

However, the crash left a large amount of debris and took out a load bearing wall, News12 said. The homeowner said the building inspectors could see the floor sloping down.

Crews are working to put up support beams, so they can get inside the home, News12 said.
