Empty in Babylon: Former Montrose Auto

The former Montrose Auto Rebuilders store has been empty only recently, leaving behind a wide open parking lot in the middle of the village, large Main Street-facing storefront and a vast amount of space.

The property, located at 158 East Main Street, saw its previous owner close up shop after over 20 years in business in Babylon Village at the storefront.

While no “for rent” nor “for sale” signs have been placed at the storefront, the empty inside and message-less windows show signs the store has closed its doors after many good years in business.

With a huge parking lot and already spacious building, this location could become many different kinds of stores – a market, another auto store, clothing retailer, restaurant, etc.
