Front Line Fighters: Profiles Of Coronavirus Local Heroes
Today's coronavirus hero is a nurse who overcame the virus herself and is now back to work helping others.

BABYLON, NY — As Long Islanders practice social distancing and make personal sacrifices as part of the fight against the coronavirus pandemic, many look to those on the front lines as inspiration. Patch will be highlighting Long Islanders who are going above and beyond in their work and community to help during the COVID-19 health crisis.
Barbara Regan is a nurse who works at Southside Hospital. She spent three weeks being sick with coronavirus and then after her recovery returned to work. She normally works as a pain management nurse but is now training to work in the ICU to help patients with COVID-19.
