GoFundMe Raises $15K For 'Bright' 6-Year-Old Found Dead In LI Home
The child was found dead with her father, who allegedly committed suicide.

WEST BABYLON, NY — A Long Island community has raised almost $15,000 to support the family of a 6-year-old girl found dead inside a West Babylon home, along with her father.
Dannay De Los Santos created the GoFundMe titled "The Amelia Rodriguez Memorial Fund" in honor of her daughter, Amelia, who she found dead on March 3.
"It saddens my heart to have to create this page for my 6-year old-daughter Amelia Rodriguez," De Los Santos said in the description. "I found her without life in our home on Friday, March 3rd, 2023.

She also wrote that she found Amelia's father, who had committed suicide.
All funds raised will go toward a memorial for Amelia, a girl who loved puzzles and music.

As of Tuesday morning, the fundraiser has collected $14,955.
"Amelia was a bright, loving and beautiful little girl," De Los Santos said in the description. "She loved to build puzzles of up to 500 pieces, she loved to paint and sing. Amelia was my only daughter and she deserves all the best!"
