BABYLON VILLAGE, NY — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.

This submission comes from Nicole Avalos who nominated Aaron of Babylon Village.

Aaron will train with not just one but two professional soccer teams in England this summer —and his dreams are just as big as his heart, Avalos told Patch.

How do you know the star local student?

Son

Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?

Aaron is a bright and joyful kid! Aside from excellent grades he is also a huge soccer fan and player. He plays for two teams and is also going to be going to London to train with two Elite teams Arsenal FC and Manchester United this summer. Aaron also plays the saxophone and is also involved in the Science Olympiads. Also, he contributes to Sunrise Day Camp for two years now. He has collected the most donations on his team to help children fighting against cancer and their siblings to be able to attend summer camp together free of charge! I hope he can be considered for this honor of being recognized.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?

He has a big heart!
