Long Island Restaurant Week: Babylon Guide

Several nearby restaurants will be part of Long Island Restaurant Week, which kicks off Sunday, April 22 and runs through April 29. All participants will offer a three-course prix fixe for $24.95 per person. On Saturday night, the deal only lasts until 7 p.m.
During restaurant week, always an affordable way to sample local fine dining, you can eat at 170 Long Island spots, and several are right here in Babylon.

The Babylon Village Italian restaurant has released its prix fixe menu for the week. Diners can choose between four appetizers: baked Blue Point oysters, stuffed zucchini, calamari, and an artichoke salad.
The main course offers a choice between fresh cavatelli with crumbled sweet sausage andbroccoli rabe; linguini fini with baby shrimp, calamari, and mussels; roastedmacadamia nut-encrusted tilapia with risotto; pan-seared boneless breast of chicken with crimini mushrooms, or a pork filet medallion.

The third course is a dessert.
The special menu features the following appetizers: edamame dumplings, pork steamed buns, bibb lettuce wraps, and black pepper spare ribs.
Diners can choose from pad thai, garlic prawns, sweet and sour chicken, and shaking beef filet mignon for entrees. Dessert choices are ginger cheesecake, flourless chocolate torte, and fried oreos.
