Man Killed In West Babylon Crash: Police
The man was making a left turn when his car was struck by another vehicle, police say.
WEST BABYLON, NY — A man is dead after a two-car crash in West Babylon on Sunday, Suffolk County police said.
David Martinez, 63, of West Babylon, was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Impala westbound at about 5:36 a.m. on Commander Avenue.
When he attempted to make a left turn on to southbound Straight Path, his vehicle was struck by a 2015 GMC Acadia that was traveling northbound on Straight Path, police said.

Martinez was taken to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The 18-year-old driver of the Acadia was not injured.

Both vehicles were impounded for a safety check.
