Man Stabbed By Neighbor In West Babylon: Police

A West Babylon man was stabbed by his neighbor and hospitalized with serious injuries on Tuesday night, Suffolk County police say.

WEST BABYLON, NY — A man stabbed and seriously injured his neighbor in West Babylon on Tuesday night, according to Suffolk County police.

A 59-year-old man was walking home on Justice Street when he got into a physical altercation with his neighbor, Edward Preston, 44, who stabbed him multiple times with a knife around 7:30 p.m., police said.

The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of serious, but non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Preston arrested and charged with second-degree assault, police said. He was held overnight at the Third Precinct and will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Wednesday, police said.
