Tattoo Lou's, established in 1958, has grown rapidly in its 50-plus years in operation, from its start in Selden to the now six parlors spread across Long Island – St. James, Deer Park, Huntington, West Babylon and the latest shop to open in the Bay Shore Mall.  

While most shop owners stick to owning and operating one shop manned by two or three other tattoo artists and a piercer, Rubino boasts a stable of artists to tattoo and pierce, as well as travel the country to participate in tattoo conventions. Aside from owning multiple tattoo shops, Rubino is the owner of numerous tattoo supply companies and Fusion Skin Spa in Deer Park.
