Meet West Babylon High's Valedictorian And Salutatorian

WEST BABYLON, NY — With graduation on the horizon for high school seniors, West Babylon Senior High School has named its valedictorian and salutatorian for the Class of 2024.

Valedictorian Kenneth Kai Miller and salutatorian Cole Bricker both have weighted GPAs of over 110, support school sports and serve their communities in various ways.

Miller has a weighted grade point average of 110.95, but his skills expand beyond text books. He's a member of the Science Olympiad team, student council, National Honor Society, World Language Honor Society, Math and Science Honor Society, Chess Club, Athletes Helping Athletes and the LEO Club.

He's also a member of the varsity soccer team and winter and spring track and field teams. When he's not in school, Miller volunteers at a soup kitchen and at Good Samaritan University Hospital. In addition, Miller's an accomplished pianist who's participated in NYSSMA since sixth grade.

Next fall, Miller will attend Cornell University where he'll study biological engineering with a four-year Air Force ROTC Scholarship.

Meanwhile, salutatorian Bricker has a weighted grade point average of 110.31. He's also an AP Scholar with distinction, a member of the Science Olympiad team, National Honor Society, Technology Honor Society, Math and Science Honor Society, World Language Honor Society, LEO Club, Math Club and Chess Club.

Bricker is also a member of the varsity soccer team and winter and spring track and field teams. Outside of school, Bricker volunteers with Every Child’s Dream and the PBA Christmas party.

After graduation, Bricker will attend Washington University to study mechanical engineering.
