MLK Day Closures In Babylon Village
There will be no garbage pick-up in Babylon Village on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
BABYLON VILLAGE, NY — As many Long Island residents will enjoy the day off in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, village employees will also have a long holiday.
On Monday, Jan. 20, all Village of Babylon offices including highway, sanitation and parks departments will be closed and resume operations on Tuesday.
There will be no sanitation or rubbish pick up, village officials said in a social media statement on Friday.

"We ask all our Village residents not to place trash or rubbish on the street for a Monday pick up," the statement said.
