On the Street: Are There Too Many Restaurants?

Every week Patch hits the village streets to ask residents a question. This week we wanted to hear reactions to the new village moratorium on restaurant applications.

The six-month hold on any new applications for dining establishments began in April and is designed to give officials time to assess any impact that the opening of a large new Asian fusion restaurant in the former Bank of New York building will have on traffic and parking. Residents at recent public hearings have expresssed worries about sufficient parking and increased noise level.

Patch asked residents around town if they think the village has too many restaurants.
