Panthers Down Hampton Bays, Streak Extends to 16 Wins
Babylon easily pushes and passes past Hampton Bays for a victory.

The Babylon Panthers varsity football team ran wild on the Hampton Bays Baymen on Friday night out east, leading the dominant team to its fourth victory in the 2013 season, 48-8.
Senior receiver Jake Carlock returned two punts during the game for touchdowns and added two touchdown catches accounting for over 50 percent of the total Panthers' offense on Friday.
Carlock's effort netted him a school record for the most career receptions with 58, according to Newsday. The mark of 56 was previously held by Steve Loudon, who played in Babylon Village from 2008 to 2010.
Quarterback Nick Santorelli was his usual dependable self against the Baymen, completing 9 of 11 passes for 145 yards with his two touchdown passes to Carlock.
Santorelli also rushed 42 yards on eight attempts with one endzone run. Luke Zappia also ran in a 29 yard touchdown in against the Baymen.
The Panthers improved to 4-0 on the season, and now have 16 straight victories dating back to 2012.
The Panthers will face a big rival next week on Oct. 12 as they head to John Glenn High School (3-1) for a big matchup.
