Representatives from Reworld™, a leader in sustainable waste solutions, recently joined Jassi Anand, Sustainability Director at the Town of Babylon and Tom Vetri, Commissioner of the Town of Babylon’s Department of Environmental Control to present to AARP members at the Copiague Library, sharing insights on sustainability, green energy and practical ways community members can reduce their carbon footprint. The presentation provided attendees with a deeper understanding of the company’s mission and the role individuals can play in advancing environmental responsibility.

“Engaging directly with the community on such important topics is something Reworld™ is proud to do,” said Maureen Early, Lead Community Relations Specialist at Reworld™. “Conversations like this help build the power of collective action. We are grateful to the AARP group for their enthusiasm in exploring ways to live more sustainably.”

Facility Manager Matt Augi and Environmental Manager Brian Aerne from Reworld™ joined Early, Anand and Vetri in leading the discussion to the 15 participants. Together, they outlined the many initiatives Reworld™ and the Town of Babylon have to transform waste into renewable resources, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and create cleaner, greener communities across Long Island.
