The Babylon Panthers varsity boys basketball team kept its playoff momentum on Saturday afternoon, defeating the Bridgehampton Killer Bees in the Suffolk County BCD playoff game, 45-34.
Babylon was down early to Bridgehampton before forcing a 22-6 run until the end of the first half, including an impressive 12-4 point difference in the entire second quarter, shutting the Killer Bees down.
"We started out in the zone, but switched it out to man-to-man, which helped us out a lot in the second quarter," said Coach Chris Morra.

Babylon moves on the Suffolk County (Section XI) playoffs to face the Class A champion, Amityville, this Tuesday at Longwood High School for the Small Schools Championship. The winner of that game faces the large schools champion for the title of Section XI champion.
"It feels great – these kids are working hard every day in practice," said Coach Morra. "We're trying to carry that work ethic over to the game and they're performing."
