Village Arts Council: "Art by the Falls" a Huge Success

Outdoor art show at Argyle Park brings visitors from all over.

The Babylon Village Arts Council hosted its sixth annual "Art by the Falls" art show on the village green by Argyle Lake on May 18.

Visitors to the art show were invited in for a free impromptu outdoor art gallery and the availability of purchasing the many fine works on display.

Among the many artists and photographers on display were some Babylonians and other local artists, including Beth Capodanno of Shoreham, who exhibited fish prints on Japanese rice paper; unusual aerial kite photographs by Evan Reinheimer; fine ceramics by Jonathan Zamet; collages by Tom Stock; oil-and-sand paintings by Joseph Leo Messina Jr.; paintings by Edward Lee, Kathy Cunningham and others; and photographs by Tiqvah Terrode, Ned Butterfield, and Ed Mooney.
