Village Home Searched by Suffolk County Police

Village resident arrested last night on several counts of illegal weapon and drug possession.

According to the Suffolk County Police Department, a home at 63 Wyandanch Avenue was entered and searched last night as part of an investigation into a Babylon Village resident. Christian Repetto, of Babylon, was arrested last night on nine counts of illegal weapons possession and drug possession.

The service unit entered the home at 12:45 a.m., according to First Precinct Lieutenant Robert Edwards, after a judge granted a probable cause search warrant. The police found nine decks of heroin, Xanax, marijuana, hypodermic needles, an illegally owned .380-caliber handgun, and other weapons including a bludgeon and slingshot.

Repetto is scheduled to appear in court date today. He was previously arrested and charged with criminal marijuana possession on April 12.

"We had enough information from residents in the community, and we had reason to believe there were drugs and weapons in the home. We've been watching this guy for a long time," said Edwards.

Inspector Gerard Gigante, Commanding Officer at the First Precinct, said that members of the residential community were very concerned about possible illegal and dangerous activity.
