Village's S.T.O.P. Program Takes Place Next Sat.
Program aims to keep pollutants out of the water by allowing residents to safely dispose of them.

Babylon Village will take part in its 22nd S.T.O.P. program on Sept. 28 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon in an effort to prevent dumping of possibly toxic chemicals into the water drainage system.
S.T.O.P., or Stop Throwing Out Pollutants, is a program run with the assistance of the Department of Environmental Control and aims to protect Long Island's life-sustaining underground water supply from chemical contamination.
The village will be collecting a number of different chemicals (listed below) on September 28th at the Village Highway Truck Back on Carlston Place, just off of North Carll Avenue and one block north of Main Street behind the Village Hall.
