W. Babylon Art Students Recognized

Student-artists take home top honors during Youth Showcase Photo Competition.

Four West Babylon Senior High School art students were recently recognized for their photographs in the fourth annual Youth Showcase Photo Competition sponsored by the Photographic Federation of Long Island.

The competition was held at the Ethical Humanist Society in Garden City and showcased students’ works from a total of 13 high schools.

With over 100 entries submitted, it was an honor that seniors Josh Woolley and Joseph Meighan won first place in their categories. Josh won in the category of Architecture and Joseph in Photographer's Choice.

Taking second place were senior Kerrin Toner in Architecture and junior Ryan Harinski in Creative.
