W. Babylon High School Teachers Grow Beards for Charity
"No-Shave November" and "Movember" combine to help raise money for local families.

A group of West Babylon High School teachers took the "Movember" trend to a whole new level this past month.
Several members of the faculty got into the spirit of giving this past month by joining in a unique fundraising drive by growing out their beards throughout November.
An initial $20 entry fee was taken and donations were accepted from others who wished to help donate to the cause.
The bearded men also joined in the annual toy collection at the high school, which goes towards the John Theissen Children’s Foundation.
The group of teachers dedicated to take the over $800 raised and help needy families throughout the West Babylon community. The money raised will be used to purchase additional items that were not collected during the district-run adopt-a-family program.
While the "Movember" trend is usually aimed at growing out a mustache throughout the month, it was preceded by the "No-Shave November" trend years before it.
