West Babylon Bed Bath & Beyond Location Set To Close

WEST BABYLON, NY — Bed Bath & Beyond's West Babylon store will close, according to the retail store chain.

The store, located at 825 West Montauk Highway, was included on the chain's updated list of locations it is closing.

A spokesperson for Bed Bath & Beyond told Patch that "store closings will commence and continue over the next few weeks and months."

Nearly 90 additional Bed Bath & Beyond and Harmon stores are set for shutdown across 30 states. This is the third wave of closures since September as Bed Bath & Beyond attempts to avoid bankruptcy.

The Bed Bath & Beyond stores in East Northport and Bohemia are also slated to close, as are the Harmon stores in Melville and Commack.

Last August, Bed Bath & Beyond officials said the chain would close about 150 of its more than 900 locations nationwide, as it sought to climb out of its financial hole. The company has defaulted on some loans, and it reportedly is looking at restructuring its debt in bankruptcy court.
