West Babylon Science Olympiad Teams Face In National Competition
The teams participated in their first virtual, national competition.
WEST BABYLON, NY — More than 50 West Babylon students recently represented their school in a historic, national competition on Saturday.
The West Babylon Science teams were one of 165 teams to compete in the first national virtual Science Olympiad competition on Saturday.
Three of West Babylon’s teams competed in the Dick Smith virtual tournament, a national tournament in Pennsylvania. A total of 75 teams competed in this event.

One West Babylon team competed in the Boyceveille virtual tournament, a sponsored national tournament from Wisconsin.
"From making videos of building events, such as catapults and planes, to working together to answer online exams, West Babylon students showed true team spirit as they strove to do their best against teams from throughout the country," a release said.
