West Babylon ShopRite To Close; Owners Cite Low Sales
Another long-standing local supermarket is closing, this time one of 16 ShopRites on the Long Island.

WEST BABYLON, NY —The ShopRite in West Babylon is closing next month after 16 years of business, and the owners cited low sales making the supermarket unprofitable.
The ShopRite at 74 Route 109 was one of three operated by the Buonadonna family.
Store employees told Greater Babylon that the last day will be Oct. 10. Until then, the operating hours will be reduced to 7 a.m. until 8 p.m.
