West Babylon Students Named National Merit Scholars
Two seniors ranked among the top five percent nationwide in 2012 preliminary SAT.

Two West Babylon Senior High School students have been named Commended Students in the 2014 National Merit Scholarship Program.
Senior students John Martin and Victoria Sardelli were awarded the title of Commended Students for their hard work and high scores on the preliminary SAT.
The pair placed among the top five percent of more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2014 competition.
Students entered the competition by taking the 2012 Preliminary SAT, or National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
Approximately 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation were recognized for their extraordinary academic promise. A select group of those students go onto receive scholarships for college sponsored by local businesses.
