West Babylon Warehouse Roof Catches Fire: Police

WEST BABYLON, NY — A West Babylon warehouse roof caught fire on Monday night, summoning multiple fire departments, Suffolk County police said.

At about 10:15 p.m., the roof of a warehouse located at 230 Great East Neck Road caught fire, police said.

West Babylon Fire Department, alongside Babylon, North Babylon, and Lindenhurst fire departments, attended the fire.

Officials had to force two doors to gain entry on both side of the building and got the fire under control in about 40 minutes, the Town of Babylon shared in a social media post.

Police believe the fire was burning embers.

No injured were reported, police said.
