2 Busted For Selling Alcohol To Minors On LI: Police

Two people were arrested after selling alcohol to minors on Friday, Suffolk police say.

BAY SHORE, NY — Two people were arrested for selling alcohol to an underage person at a Long Island after Suffolk County police investigated 13 businesses.

Police said numerous community complaints sparked compliance checks where they investigated the sale of alcohol to underage people at 13 businesses in Islip, East Islip, West Islip and Bay Shore.

During the investigation, officers found two Bay Shore businesses were not in compliance and charged two people with first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child including Vikramjit Singh, 20, of South Ozone Park, employed at Mobil Mini Mart, and William Byrnes, 64, of Bay Shore, employed at Speedway Mini Mart, police said.

Both men were issued field appearance tickets and are slated to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip at a later date.
