5-Car Crash In Bay Shore Hospitalizes 1 Person: Police
A woman ran a red light on the Eastbound Sunrise Service Road, causing a chain reaction with four other vehicles.
BAY SHORE, NY – A car wreck involving five vehicles sent one person to the hospital on Saturday, Suffolk police told Patch.
The crash took place at the intersection of Saxon Avenue and the Eastbound Sunrise Service Road in Bay Shore on Saturday at around 1:45 p.m., police said.
A woman driving a 2021 Subaru eastbound on the Service Road through a red light at the intersection when she struck a 2005 Toyota traveling northbound on Saxon, causing a chain reaction with three other vehicles, police said.

Exchange Ambulance of the Islips transported one person to South Shore University Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, Islip Fire Department reported.
According to the fire department, they found one "small vehicle fire and two injuries" upon arrival.
