Connecticut Man Charged With DWI After Stop In Bay Shore: NYSP

BAY SHORE, NY — New York State police report conducting a DWI enforcement sweep over Easter weekend. Among the 24 arrests was one at 1:13 a.m. Saturday when troopers conducted a traffic stop on the Southern State Parkway westbound in the area of exit 41A.

The driver of the vehicle, Jose Montero of Norwalk, Connecticut, was found to be intoxicated while traveling with two children in the vehicle, aged 7 and 12.

The 34-year-old was subsequently charged with Driving While Intoxicated (Unclassified Misdemeanor), Operating a motor vehicle with a BAC over .08%, 1st offense (Unclassified Misdemeanor), Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a child – 1st offense (E Felony), Endangering the welfare of a child (A Misdemeanor).
