Firefighters Battle Vehicle Blaze In Bay Shore: Police
The Bay Shore Fire Department extinguished a vehicle fire over Memorial Day Weekend in Bay Shore.
BAY SHORE, NY — The Bay Shore Fire Department was called to the scene of a vehicle fully engulfed in flames on Brentwood Road and Tillie Street in Bay Shore early Sunday morning.
According to Suffolk County police, the call came in at around 6:45 a.m. and no one was injured.
Police told patch that the Suffolk County police arson squad was not called to the scene, so there is no investigation into the cause.

According to Bay Shore Fire Department, Captain K. Ekelund led the crew of Bay Shore Hose Company #1. They stretched one line to knock down the fire and used tools to open the engine compartment. Because the vehicle went up in flames under a power line, PSEG was notified to respond and inspect for any damage, the fire department said.
Officers from Suffolk County Police Department provided traffic control while firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze.
