Firefighters Extinguish Recycling Yard Blaze On Long Island: Police

Long Island firefighters extinguished flames that broke out in a recycling yard earlier this week, Suffolk County police say.

BAY SHORE, NY — Firefighters extinguished a blaze that broke out in a Long Island recycling yard on Monday, Suffolk County police told Patch.

A fire was reported around 3 p.m. at NJC Scrap Metal Recycling Inc., located on Moffet Boulevard in Bay Shore, police said.

The Bay Shore Fire Department and West Islip Fire Department responded and contained the fire, police said.
