Guide To Bay Shore And Islip Takeout During Coronavirus Shutdown

BAY SHORE, NY — Last night at 8 p.m. New York State restaurants and bars closed their dining rooms to help slow the spread of coronavirus. But restaurants in Bay Shore and Islip are offering more delivery and takeout options as they try to stay open during the pandemic. Residents interested in helping support small businesses during the COVID-19 shutdown period can order food at these establishments. Businesses across Long Island are offering expanded delivery; some are organizing curbside pickup and others will bring orders to customers' cars.

Tellers, the Islip steakhouse, is offering 20 percent off takeout and delivery orders. Other restaurants owned by the Bohlsen Restaurant Group like Verace in Islip, H20 in East Islip and Monsoon in Babylon Village are running the same promotion. The new limited menus are available on the restaurant websites.

Pizza Parm in Islip is open and offering specialty pies for $20 as well as the standard menu.

Bubba's Burrito Bar in Islip is staying open for pickup or delivery food. The eatery is allowing ten customers at a time in through the back entrance only.

Maxwell's restaurant in Islip is staying open for delivery, takeout or curbside pickup service. Sister restaurant Southside Bar and Restaurant will follow suit.

Local Burger in Bay Shore will be open from 11:30 a.m. until 9:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and until 11:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Customers can pick up food or use third-party delivery apps.

Tula Kitchen in Bay Shore will offer free delivery Tuesday through Sunday, 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. The free delivery is for order over $25 and available to residents in Bay Shore, Babylon, Brightwaters, Islip, West Islip and East Islip.
