Pedestrian Struck, Killed, In Bay Shore: Police
The 87-year-old was walking when he was fatally struck, police say.
BAY SHORE, NY — A man is dead, after he was struck by a car while walking in Bay Shore early Friday, Suffolk County police said.
Jose Guaman, 87, of Bay Shore, was walking westbound on the shoulder of Spur Drive North at about 6:15 a.m. when he was struck by a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado turning from Brentwood Road.
Guaman, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The driver of the Chevrolet was not injured.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to contact the Third Squad.
