BAY SHORE, NY — A man was stabbed to death on Long Island over the weekend, according to Suffolk County police. Police said they received a call on Saturday, around 6:40 p.m., reporting that a man had been stabbed at 115 Railroad Ave. in Bay Shore. Upon arrival, they found Shurvell Rush, 47, who police said was undomiciled, with a stab wound to his chest behind 115 Railroad Plaza. Rush was transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore, where he was pronounced dead. Anyone with information may contact the Homicide Squad at 631-852-6392 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
