Technology Distributor Moving Headquarters To Bay Shore

BAY SHORE, NY — A vacant building on Bay Shore's Fifth Avenue will soon have a new purpose, as a technology distributor is moving in.

Reliance Communications, a national distributor of wireless devices and accessories, has purchased the industrial complex located at 156o Fifth Ave., Bay Shore, Long Island Business News reported.

Reliance, one of only three authorized Verizon Wireless distributors in the United States, is moving its headquarters to Bay Shore from Holbrook.

According to Long Island Business News, the company is planning to spend millions on renovations and new equipment for the facility.

News of the move was first reported in August 2021, though officials just announced on Tuesday that Reliance procured a $4.65M commercial mortgage loan to pay for the purchase, and a $30M revolving credit line to "provide working capital and support for the company's future growth," according to ABL Advisor.

Reliance bought the property from seller VMT Holdings. It's unclear whether the company has set a move-in date.
