Councilman Mark Weprin, D- Oakland Gardens, hosted a Pets and Pals Party in Alley Pond Park near 76th Avenue and Springfield Boulevard on Sunday.
The city Department of Parks and Recreation provided a free day of fun for families and pets, featuring rides, games, arts and crafts, pet adoption, a pet microchip clinic and animal demonstrations.
“The Pets and Pals Party will be a great day for families and pets to get out and enjoy Alley Pond Park,” Weprin said. “We are truly fortunate to have such a beautiful park in our community.”
