Bayside To Host Brazilian Soirée At Fort Totten Park

BAYSIDE, QUEENS — As part of a series that brings music from countries all over the world, Fort Totten Park will set the stage for a Brazilian duo on Sunday.

Diálogos Duo, composed of Louis Arques and Richard Boukas, will perform starting at 3 p.m. at the Bayside Historical Society clubhouse, located at 208 Totten Ave.

The two-hour event will honor the Brazilian composer Pixinguinha's 125th birthday with thirteen tributes. The music combines Afro-Brazilian, contemporary jazz, and classical styles.

The concert is the latest edition of the "Passport Concert Series," which brings performances highlighting music from around the world to the park.

The concert is priced at $20 for clubhouse members, and $25 for non-members.
