Bayside School Safety Agent Dies From Coronavirus Complications
NYPD School Safety Agent Linosee Mosley, who helped protect students in Bayside, died after contracting the new coronavirus.

BAYSIDE, QUEENS — NYPD School Safety Agent Linosee Mosley, who helped protect students in Bayside, died Friday from complications related to the new coronavirus. He was 57.
Mosley was a 26-year veteran of the police department and most recently served in the school safety unit of the 111th Precinct, which covers Bayside, Douglaston, Auburndale and Little Neck, according to the NYPD.
"Today, the entire NYPD mourns as our hearts go out to his family, friends & colleagues," NYPD Commissioner Dermot Shea wrote Saturday on Twitter.

Mosley is the fourth NYPD school safety agent known to have died from COVID-19, the official name for the disease caused by the new coronavirus.

School Safety Agent Luis Albino, who worked in The Bronx, also died Friday, the department said. The NYPD previously attributed the deaths of School Safety Agents Roniece Watson and Sabrina Jefferson to the new coronavirus.
As of Sunday, more than 2,000 uniformed and civilian members of the NYPD had tested positive for the virus. At least eleven NYPD members have died, according to the New York Daily News.
