Bomb Squad Clears Suspicious Package Outside PS 205 in Bayside
The NYPD was called in on Monday morning, but the package was deemed to be safe.
BAYSIDE, QUEENS — The NYPD Bomb Squad was called to the area right outside P.S. 205 in Queens on Monday morning for a suspicious package, but the all clear was given after the item was checked out, police said.
An NYPD spokesperson said he was unaware of what the object turned out to be, but that it had been deemed safe around 10 a.m.
The object was found near Bell Boulevard and 77th Avenue, which is at the southwest corner of The Alexander Graham Bell School, according to police.

A Department of Education spokesperson said the NYPD and FDNY responded immediately and classes continued after the threat was cleared.
