Children's Hospital In Glen Oaks Gets $200K For Equipment, Research
A children's hospital in Glen Oaks received hundreds of thousands of dollars for its medical equipment and research Tuesday.

BAYSIDE, QUEENS — A children's hospital in Glen Oaks received hundreds of thousands of dollars for its medical equipment and research Tuesday.
Cohen Children’s Medical Center was granted $200,000 from the Teachers Federal Credit Union to support the hospital's clinical care and research. The funds were raised through a series of events, including a golf tournament in May that garnered more than $400,000.
“We are thankful to our partners, and all those involved in making our first golf tournament a success, and look forward to continuing these efforts for many years to come," said Brad Calhoun, President and CEO of the credit union.

Hospital staff received a check at Cohen Children’s Medical Center located at 269-01 76th Ave. Tuesday.
Cohen Children’s Medical Center, which opened in 1983, currently has 206 beds exclusively for children. The hospital treats more than 450,000 children in New York State.
