Festival of Little Neck Bay, Pat Boone Concert Highlight Week in NE Queens

Thursday
Bourbon Street, located at 39-24 Bell Blvd., will host a seminar on the Affordable Healthcare Act and healthcare reform at 6 p.m. To attend, you must register by emailing info@baysideba.com or calling 718-229-2277.
Friday
Don Byron New Gospel Quintet will perform at Flushing Town Hall, located at 137-35 Northern Blvd., at 8 p.m. The band will perform jazz, blues and gospel.
Saturday
Alley Pond Environmental Center will hold its annual Festival of Little Neck Bay as part of National Estuaries Day. The event, which runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., is meant to draw attention to the importance of the region's estuaries. The festival will include canoe rides, nature walks, activities for children and information booths for a variety of city, state and federal agencies.
The Poppenhusen Institute, located at 114-04 14th Road in College Point, will host its third annual Oktoberfest at 1 p.m. Performers will include Bill Popp and the Tapes and David Kincaid. The event will include pumpkins for sale, games for kids, face painting, crafts and more.
Sunday
Legendary pop singer Pat Boone will perform at 3 p.m. at Queensborough Community College's performing arts center, located at 222-05 56th Ave. in Bayside. Tickets are $45.
