Find Work Tomorrow At The Bay Terrace Job Fair

Neighbors in Bayside looking for work could be on the road to employment as soon as tomorrow thanks to a local job fair.

BAYSIDE, QUEENS — Neighbors in Bayside looking for work could be on the road to employment as soon as tomorrow.

The Bay Terrace job fair, hosted at the eponymous shopping center by Council Member Vickie Paladino and Cord Meyer Development, will take place from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday.

Many businesses at the mall — including Home Goods, Men's Wearhouse and (as of late) Rosa's Pizza — will participate in the job fair, organizers said.

"Employment benefits the entire community, from the individual being hired to the many mom-and-pop shops and corporations in Northeast Queens actively seeking job candidates," said Paladino.

For Cord Meyer Development vice president controller, Joe Forgione, the job fair is part of the development company's ongoing efforts to support the community.

"Cord Meyer is proud to meet the needs of the community," he said, noting that — in addition to the job fair — the development company sponsors events ranging from a summer classic car show to park cleanups.

The development company encouraged attendees to arrive early and bring a resume if you have one.
