Free Pop-Up Food Pantry Coming To Crocheron Park On Wednesday
The three-hour food giveaway, which kicks off at 12:30, comes as millions of New Yorkers struggle with food insecurity amid the pandemic.
BAYSIDE, QUEENS — A pop up food pantry is coming to Crocheron Park on Wednesday.
The free food giveaway, organized by Friends of Crocheron & John Golden Park and the city’s emergency food distribution program, will be held next to the park at 215th Place and 33rd Road from 12:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. — or until food runs out.
Friends’ effort to help distribute food comes as millions of New Yorkers struggle to put food on their tables amid the pandemic, which exacerbated the city's hunger crisis according to reports.
