Free Rock Concert Coming To Fort Totten On Sunday
The free show is an encore performance of "Queens Live!," a three-show community concert series that the Borough President hosted in Sept.
BAYSIDE, QUEENS — A free community concert series is back for an encore in Bayside this upcoming Sunday.
On Oct. 10 at 3:00 p.m., "Queens Live!" is bringing a fourth and final free concert to Fort Totten Park in Bay Terrace — no registration or tickets required.
The series, organized by Queens Borough President Donovan Richards in partnership with NYC Parks and the Kupferberg Center for the Arts at Queens College, was initially slated for a three-show run, but Richards decided to organizing one more concert after seeing the series' popularity.

"Our Queens Live! concert series has been an incredible hit for our communities across Queens, and we’re excited to keep the music going into October by showcasing a Queens band on the rise,” said Richards in a statement, alluding to Hollis Brown, the rock band that is headlining Sunday's concert.
Hollis Brown was founded by two born-and-raised Queens musicians who attended Queens College, Mike Montali, the band's lead vocals and guitar player, and Jonathan Bonilla, the lead guitarist. The group just released an aptly-titled album, "Ozone Park."

Last month, Queens Live! organized a reggae concert at the Rockaway Boardwalk, a Latin music show in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month in Jackson Heights, and a hip-hop tribute show in Springfield Gardens.
The series aimed to highlight different cultures in the World's Borough, and create safe spaces for gathering in the wake of the pandemic.
"The idea of everyone enjoying music and celebrating culture in unison feels like a huge step towards our recovery," said NYC Parks Acting Commissioner Margaret Nelson.
Editor's note: The Borough President's office originally said that the concert would start at 5:00 p.m., but it is actually slated to begin at 3:00 p.m.
