Free Shakespeare Performances Are Coming To Crocheron Park In August

BAYSIDE, QUEENS — A free Shakespeare play by any other price would not smell as sweet.

Lucky for Bayside residents, two free Shakespeare in the Park performances are scheduled to take over Crocheron Park this summer.

Hip to Hip Theatre Company, based in Woodside, will first perform "The Comedy of Errors" on Thursday, Aug. 10, at the park located on 35th Avenue and Corbett Road.

Two weeks later, on Aug. 24, the theatre group will come back to interpret "The Life and Death of Richard III."

Both performances start at 7:30 p.m. by the big sledding hill.

The troupe is hitting up several parks in Queens that month, including Sunnyside Gardens Park, Cunningham Park, and the Socrates Sculpture Park.
