Free Wi-fi in Bayside

this week announced that they'd be offering free wireless internet for their customers. Since we're big fans of wi-fi at Bayside Patch, we wanted to spread the word, and also let our readers know of other Bayside and Bay Terrace spots they can surf the net free of charge.

A thirty minute limit to surf does apply, but the mac'n'cheese is killer. Plus there's a fireplace going during the winter.

The drinks are great—especially the seasonal ones. You can surf the net all day long for the price of a cup of coffee, and nobody will give you a sideways look. We'd just recommend bringing a sweater and a pair of earphones, as it can get both pretty cold and pretty lively at the Bayside location.

You might not necessarily think of McDonalds as a traditional internet cafe, but with awesome smoothies and frozen coffee, it fully qualifies.

The Queens Library does make patrons go through a bit of a song and dance with a library card and separate pin number to gain wireless access. All in all, free is still free, and nothing to sneer at.
