Here's Where Baysiders Can Drop Off Their Christmas Trees

The city's Sanitation Department will have a Christmas tree collection next month at an event called Mulchfest.

BAYSIDE, QUEENS — It’s out with the old and in with the new in 2023, and New Yorkers luckily have a city-funded way to follow that resolution when it comes to their Christmas trees.

The city’s Sanitation Department will have a Christmas tree collection next month at an event called Mulchfest, where residents can take their live trees and wreaths to recycle their holiday ornaments.

Trees and wreaths will be chipped, mixed with leaves, and recycled into compost for city parks, institutions, and community gardens
